Grades

  • Enter grades in FoxLink only. Grades entered in Blackboard are not accessable by the registrar and do not show on student transcripts.
  • The deadline is published for each term and it is important that you keep that deadlines. The registrar has a short window to review records for possible dismissal and probation before the next term begins. Please do not give your students extra time to complete projects at the end of term.
  • Do not leave a grade blank unless you have completed a Contract for Incomplete for a specific student.

Incomplete grade

  • It is the responsibility of the student to complete and submit a Contract for an Incomplete Grade prior to the conclusion of the course. The contract specifies the work that is to be done and the deadline for submission (up to 60 days from the last published date of the term). Instructors may, in exceptional circumstances, grant an extension of up to 60 additional days. Incompletes that are unresolved or unreported at the end of the deadline will automatically change to “F.”
  • The original Contract should be submitted to Laura Pfister at the Holt School prior to the grade submission deadline.
  • Instructors should then leave the grade blank in FoxLink. The registrar will enter the "I" on the student's record. This is the only situation where a grade may be left blank.
  • An "I" will not be recorded without a contract.

Question about individual student

  • If you are unsure about a grade because a student has not consistently attended class or completed projects, or let you know of a personal circumstance, please enter the grade the student earned as of that time. More times than not, this means a failing grade. Please do not leave the grade blank.
  • You have the option to change the grade once the course work is submitted.
